Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has lauded former club Liverpool for giving Jurgen Klopp time to build before elevating to the top of the current squad.
Klopp took charge of the Reds in 2015, leading the team to an eighth-place finish and must wait four years to secure their first Champions League trophy in 2019, followed by the Premier League the following year. It’s the cessation of 30 years without the ufabet club’s top-flight title.
Gerrard said of Klopp’s recent extension of his contract at Anfield until 2026: “The first year I took over in October and it was a very challenging job. other He changed himself a lot. He had the time to create something very special.”
“I know that’s not always the case. We can’t always expect that because only one manager can do it.”
“But it shows that even when you take charge of a top team It took time to find myself. It takes time to refine the troop to be a successful team.”
